What are you building, and who benefits most from it?

We enable a new way of driving. Modern customer values such as convenience, simplicity, immediacy, and flexibility are in conflict with today’s car service providers. Nowadays, consumers are forced to use their cars as “all-purpose” vehicles, whether commuting alone to work or taking the whole family to the mountains. It is a one-size-fits-none approach. CARIFY gives its customers the flexibility to choose the right car for the right need at the right time, delivered right to their doorstep on demand.

We have built Switzerland’s biggest car subscription platform that allows the entire car industry to plug in. We are disrupting today’s broken car consumption model and unifying customer experiences with a one-stop-service approach that will be the future of the car industry.  

What is one of your startup’s most impressive accomplishments?

We were the youngest company ever to make it to the finals of the Swiss Economic Forum Award. This is the most important award for entrepreneurs in Switzerland, and it makes us very proud to have achieved this with our team in such a short time. 

What has been the biggest challenge so far, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was finding the right people to join our mission. Our goal is to create something great together with the smartest and most motivated people and to improve the future of our society. We have an outstanding team with many ideas and even more drive to realize them. 

What tool or app could you not live without and why?

Slack. Ours is an international team with the best talent spread all over the globe, so fast and transparent communication is one of the most important things for our company. Slack enables this easy and time-independent communication. 

What marketing strategies have worked for you?

We mainly do online marketing because we have a digital platform where customers can select and order their cars completely digitally, without any obstacles and with just a few clicks. As a fast-growing company, we are always testing new, not-so-obvious approaches to give us an advantage over the bigger players. 

What’s the best specific piece of advice you have for other entrepreneurs?

Plans are worthless, but planning is everything.

What does your company’s trajectory look like over the next five years?

Our goal is to make the mobility of the future simpler, more flexible, and more sustainable. To achieve this, we have the right team and the right partners. Together, we will seize opportunities and break new ground. Technological developments are advancing rapidly, and we are ready to play our part in making a positive impact for a better, more sustainable future.
